People Making a Positive Difference
This month, The KLRC Cares spotlight is on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas. BBBS is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. They have been the leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. KLRCCares.com Rules
Please pay attention and follow the following guidelines when using KLRCcares.com
1. Do not attack or abuse other KLRCcares.com users in the comments sections. This includes avoiding personal insults, vulgarity, soliciting other users for items, money, or services not already being offered, and contacting users privately through e-mail or by phone for purposes other than those intended by KLRCcares.com.
2. Do not use the comments section of KLRCcares.com to request the donation of items or services for yourself or others. We understand that there are many people in need in Northwest Arkansas, and that those needs are very important. However, if we allow users to request donations, the sheer number of requests will drown out each individual request’s importance. Therefore, only those who are giving items/services for donation may post them on KLRC.com. If you are interested in receiving an item or service, please wait until something suitable is posted and then respond to it, rather than submitting your need. Posts that do not follow this rule will be deleted. To get started, visit The Exchange.
3. The KLRCCares.com Exchange is for the local listening audience only. Donations from outside of the NW Arkansas / NE Oklahoma area will not be accepted.

In order to keep KLRCCares.com as organized as possible, please do not make prayer or donation submissions through the comments section. Instead, please use the praise/prayer submission form, or the item/service donation form.
Prayer Requests previously posted here have been moved to the Requests Section.
Of course, if you have any other types of comments you’d like to make here concerning KLRC, KLRCCares.com, or its content, feel free!

I was very excited to find KLRC playing ‘my kind’ of music when I entered JBU as a freshman in 1985. I ended up living in AR for the next 5 yrs and sorely missed KLRC when I moved away. What a blessing you were to me after I moved back to the area and I was going through divorce and felt very sad. Your music ministered to me night and day! I feel 99% better now, 7 years later – and thank you for your blessed praise and worship songs – they make me feel closer to God. I listen 24 hours a day 6 days a week (21 hours on Saturdays…). Thanks so much for all you do (except 9-midnight Sat).

I love KLRC! iM 14 years old and go to Westville public schools, the songs you play ave encouraged me to stand out and make a difference. A friend of mine and have just began a school bible study during lunch and are getting donations from several churches in the Westville area, and we would really love it if you prayed for the growth of our small group. We want to get more students coming.

Hi Melvin! Thanks for the comment! Did you know we have a sister station that plays “Jesus Freaks” style music 24/7? It’s an online station at http://www.mypositiveedge.com. Check it out!

It’s very rare that we do not listen to KLRC in the car. But the other day I was listening to another radio station and my 4 year old son said, “Mom, can we listen to KLRC?” I said absolutely! I was so proud of my son. To see his love for God getting stronger every day! And to see the joy on his face when he listens to songs about God.

If it were not for KLRC I don;t think i would be alive today. Me and my family have went through 7 years of torture, at least that what it feels like. I was hurt on the job and have fought social security for the last 7 years. We lost our home, cars, pretty much everything. During this time I almost lost my relationship with Jesus Christ, not to mention my mind and family. But listening to KLRC with the positive message and uplifting spirit music brings it help me from taking my life. When you loose your ability to be a father that supports and provides for your family you don’t feel like a person deserving of life. So thank you sooooo much for the music.

Klrc has changed my driving habits. When I returned to NWA and started going to a local church I still had a rather disturbing problem with road rage. Upon finding Jesus Christ and Klrc it is no longer a problem. Thank you for following your leading of Jesus

Thanks KLRC for being the AWESOME station that you are! You make every day brighter each time I jump in the car to take off. Especially love Mark & Keri in the morning and your late evening programs! (I listen to them most due to work hours!)

Just wanted to say thanks to KLRC for being so wonderful. They are more than a radio station. Ive been looking at some of their pictures of things they do in the community and also received a $50.00 gift certificate today for the anniversary of the week. Things like that really make a difference in a persons life. God does amazing things through this radio station.
